Holt Village Hall Friday 15th November 2019 at 7.30pm
Jaywalkers will provide a fantastic evening of Bluegrass music to entertain. These three outstanding musicians will demonstrate their well-crafted ability combining powerhouse bass, flame-fingered mandolin, blistering fiddle and three-part harmony to satisfy lovers of folk, country or jazz music as well as those just wishing to enjoy professional entertainment.
Our own talent Scouts (oh yes, the Village Hall has access to our own intrepid pair of talent scouts) has been out on the trail of the Jaywalkers and were fortunate to catch them following their European tour and can testify that the Jaywalkers show will be an exhilarating experience for all to enjoy.
“Stunning three-part harmonies, soaring fiddles and fearless mandolins … a powerhouse of Americana who can cook up a storm without the need to plug themselves into any cumbersome amplification.”
“Jaywalkers’ musicianship is truly tasty: both deft and impeccable but never soulless, while the players’ togetherness and interplay is mesmerising and attention-grabbing”
“An effortless blend British and American folk traditions to create something arguably greater than either of these genres.”
"Jaywalkers are the real deal... three incredible musicians creating a bluegrass party on stage. There must have been some dark trades with the devil to give Mike Giverin such mastery of the mandolin and Jay Bradberry such skill with fiddle and voice."
The last three similar events in the Village Hall have been a total sell out, so get your tickets now or risk being disappointed.
